Training and Capacity Building
The Sustainability Education team at EDS combines their consulting expertise with teaching skills to provide training and capacity-building programs for individuals and organizations. Our diverse programs help seasoned professionals in lifelong learning, those early in their careers with professional development, and students/ teachers connect with the practice.
EDS also collaborates with academic institutions, industry associations, corporate houses, and government agencies to organize workshops and training programs for raising awareness about green technologies, sustainability principles, green building rating systems, and energy codes. The team has conducted more than 100 training programs reaching out to more than 3000 people across various disciplines and geographies.
As a USGBC Education Partner, EDS develops educational content on sustainability for professional development, that is approved by GBCI for Continuing Education (CE) hours.
We offer live instructor-led online training programs, self-paced video courses and customized corporate programs. Topics range from general green building concepts to technical skills such as building energy simulations, daylight analysis, HVAC systems modeling and so on.
About EDS
Environmental Design Solutions [EDS] is a sustainability advisory firm focusing on the built environment. Since its inception in 2002, EDS has worked on over 250 green building and energy efficiency projects worldwide. The diverse milieu of its team of experts converges on climate change mitigation policies, energy efficient building design, building code development, energy efficiency policy development, energy simulation and green building certification.
EDS has extensive experience in providing sustainable solutions at both, the macro level of policy advisory and planning, as well as a micro level of developing standards and labeling for products and appliances. The scope of EDS projects range from international and national level policy and code formulation to building-level integration of energy-efficiency parameters. EDS team has worked on developing the Energy Conservation Building Code [ECBC] in India and supporting several other international building energy code developments, training, impact assessment, and implementation. EDS has the experience of data collection & analysis, benchmarking, energy savings analysis, GHG impact assessment, and developing large scale implementation programs.
